Alessi — Itsumo NF07/38 NF07/38 20 | White porcelain salad bowl

There is something profoundly quiet about Itsumo. The white porcelain does not shout or impose itself: it welcomes. The slightly flared rim, the profile that descends with the same naturalness as a held breath, the pure white surface that catches the light without returning it arrogantly. An object that seems always to have been there, on the set table, as if it could not be otherwise. Itsumo, in Japanese, means precisely this: *always*. Naoto Fukasawa is perhaps the contemporary designer who, more than anyone else, has made the "unspoken" a poetic principle. A student of a school of thought without excess, Fukasawa works by subtraction: he removes the superfluous until only the essence of the thing remains. His collaboration with Alessi has produced a tableware line - the Itsumo collection - that brings this philosophy into everyday domestic life, translating it into porcelain capable of disappearing into its own perfection. The form is so right that it seems obvious, yet it is anything but. We chose the Itsumo for Stilmobili because it perfectly represents the kind of beauty we believe in: the kind that needs no explanation. It is the ideal salad bowl for those who arranged their table with care even before discovering design, and for those who today seek objects made to last. It pairs discreetly with any dinnerware set and enhances every dish - from a seasonal salad to an elaborate composition of roasted vegetables - without ever overshadowing it. Project notes: white porcelain, diameter 20 cm, height 10 cm, capacity 195 cl. Alessi collection, spring/summer range. Design by Naoto Fukasawa.
