Alessi — Itsumo NF07/22 NF07/22 36 | Fukasa porcelain oval plate

There is a particular quietness in the form of Itsumo. The oval serving platter extends across the table with the naturalness of something that has always been there — white, essential, capable of holding without ever dominating. The porcelain captures light differently depending on the time of day, revealing a surface that is never merely smooth, but alive, tactile, present. Thirty-six centimetres of space that become a small stage for every dish. Itsumo means "always" in Japanese, and this name already contains Naoto Fukasawa's entire manifesto. The Japanese designer, one of the most influential voices on the international scene, has built his creative philosophy around the concept of thoughtless design — objects that fit into everyday life with such precision that they seem always to have belonged to that gesture, that hand, that table. In collaboration with Alessi, Fukasawa brings to the table a porcelain system in which each piece engages with the others in a balance that needs no explanation. We at Stilmobili chose Itsumo because it represents exactly what we look for when creating a quality table setting: objects that do not compete with the food or the guests, but accompany them. It is the ideal serving platter for those who love to entertain discreetly, for those who consider the table a coherent aesthetic project, for those who have stopped looking for decoration and started looking for the right form.
