There is a rare quality to Itsumo porcelain: it seems as though it has always been there, on the table, as if it had never needed to introduce itself. The NF07/2 soup plate is a twenty-centimeter white circle that contains everything needed - the soup, the light, the silence of a complete form. The surface is pristine and uniform, its depth calibrated with the precision of someone who knows the gesture of the spoon before even drawing the rim. Itsumo is Naoto Fukasawa's work for Alessi, one of the most consequential encounters between Japanese design sensibility and Italian manufacturing tradition. Fukasawa - among the most influential designers of his time, already known for collaborations with Muji, B&B Italia, and Artemide - brings his deepest thinking to this collection: what he calls "design without thought," that is, an object's ability to dissolve into the act of use, becoming invisible at the moment it becomes necessary. In Japanese, Itsumo means *always*. A name that is already a manifesto. We chose it for Stilmobili because it embodies what we seek in high-end tableware: not decoration, but presence.
