Alessi — Itsumo ANF06/15 | Naoto Fukasawa cake server

There is something almost ritualistic about the act of serving a cake. The Itsumo cake server knows this, and accommodates it with silent grace: the 18/10 stainless steel profile slips through the hands with the same naturalness with which a blade sharpens the air. The polished surface reflects the light evenly, without decorative excess, while the proportions - 26 centimetres in length and 7 in width - create a visual balance that is, in itself, a form of everyday aesthetics. Naoto Fukasawa is one of the great masters of contemporary Japanese design, a figure capable of moving across cultures and disciplines with absolute consistency. His approach - often described as "design without thought" - does not mean an absence of reflection, but rather the pursuit of a form so closely aligned with its function that it becomes invisible, instinctive, inevitable. Itsumo, which means "always" in Japanese, already carries this ambition in its name: to be the tool that is always there, unnoticed yet impossible to imagine changing. The collection is part of Alessi's A project, a laboratory in which the Valdostana manufacturer invited some of the most significant designers on the international scene to reinterpret the archetypes of the table. We chose Itsumo because it perfectly embodies what has always guided us in our selection: objects that do not demand attention but deserve it. It is the ideal tool for those who love to host with care, for those who consider the table an extension of their taste, and for those who want to give something refined without falling into ornamentation. Perfect as an addition to a sophisticated tea or coffee service, or as a single gift of absolute class. Project notes: 18/10 stainless steel, length 26 cm, width 7 cm. Dishwasher safe.
