Alessi — Hikuri GV19/88 | Porcelain coffee saucer with blue decoration

There is something radically playful about the white porcelain of the Hikuri saucer: the blue decoration running across it is not ornament, but gesture. A chromatic trace that interrupts the purity of the white with the same assurance with which a calligraphic mark defines an empty space. The generous diameter of fifteen centimeters accommodates the cup with discretion and presence, while the light weight — just over two hundred grams — reveals attentive craftsmanship, in which porcelain is a living material, not a neutral support. Hikuri is a creation by Guido Venturini, one of the most original Tuscan designers of his generation, known for a poetic style that moves effortlessly between structural irony and formal rigor. Venturini has collaborated with Alessi on several occasions, always bringing an oblique perspective to everyday objects — one capable of overturning expectations without ever betraying their function. Hikuri's blue decoration embodies that tension: it is both tradition and rupture, a memory of European ceramics and a contemporary invention. We at Stilmobili chose Hikuri for those who know that setting a table is an aesthetic act, not a convention. It is the ideal piece for anyone who collects Italian design intelligently, for those who enjoy morning coffee as a ritual moment, and for those who will not settle for an anonymous accessory when they can have an object with a story to tell. The fact that Hikuri is part of the discontinued series makes it, if possible, even more precious: an edition to be treasured. Project notes: white porcelain with blue decoration, diameter 15 cm, net weight 215 g. Alessi collection, spring/summer season. End-of-series piece - limited availability.
