Alessi — Gnam ASG22 W | White resin bread box

There is something profoundly domestic about the act of opening a bread bin: that moment when the kitchen ceases to be a functional space and becomes the stage for everyday life. Gnam interprets this ritual with a formal lightness that is at once discreet and distinctive. Made of white thermoplastic resin, its surface welcomes the light with an almost matte, soft quality, evoking the idea of considered simplicity. The proportions - 46 cm long by 30 cm wide and 16.5 cm high - create a generous volume, capable of holding an entire loaf without sacrificing elegance on a sideboard or kitchen counter. Gnam was created through a collaboration between Stefano Giovannoni and Elisa Gargan as part of Alessi's A collection, a project conceived to bring the signature of auteur design to the most ordinary objects in the home. Giovannoni, one of the most influential names in contemporary Italian design, has built his creative vision around the idea that form can evoke emotion and memory: every object becomes a small domestic character, capable of inhabiting a space with a personality of its own. At Stilmobili, we chose Gnam because it perfectly embodies the tension that fascinates us: everyday life elevated into an aesthetic gesture. It is the right object for those who accept no compromises, even in the kitchen, and for those who consider the table - in the broadest sense - a place of care and identity. It fits naturally into contemporary, minimalist, or Nordic settings, where white is the lingua franca of mindful living. Project notes: the sliding lid ensures ease of use without sacrificing the formal purity of the volume. The thermoplastic resin ensures lightness and durability over time, resisting the humidity typical of kitchen environments.
