Alessi — Glow ESA06 5 | Blown glass Christmas bauble

There is something ancient and precious about the gesture of hanging a mouth-blown glass sphere on the Christmas tree. Glow makes it contemporary without betraying its soul: a mouth-blown glass decoration, hand-painted with a care that can be seen in the details - in the nuances of its color, in the way it captures and reflects the light of the holidays. With a diameter of 7.3 centimeters, it has exactly the weight of what matters: light in the hand, rich in meaning in the air. The project was born from the imagination of Elena Salmistraro, a Milanese designer and illustrator who is one of the most original voices on the contemporary Italian scene. Salmistraro works at the boundary between decoration and visual storytelling, between patterns and narrative, creating worlds in which every form seems inhabited by a small personal mythology. For Alessi - as part of the Palinsesto fall/winter collection - she brought this same perspective to the ritual of Christmas, transforming a traditional object into a small designer manifesto. At Stilmobili, we chose Glow because it embodies exactly what we look for when we talk about design applied to the holidays: not disposable decoration, but an object to cherish, to rediscover each year with renewed pleasure. It is ideal for those who want to create a tree with personality, for those who give thoughtfully, and for those who know that even an ornament can be a style choice. Project notes: mouth-blown glass, hand-painted decoration. Diameter 7.3 cm, height 8.3 cm. Weight 130 g. Designer Elena Salmistraro for Alessi, Palinsesto fall/winter collection.
