Alessi — Joseph AMJ13 3 | Blown-glass Christmas ornament

There is something ancient and precious in the gesture of hanging a glass bauble on the Christmas tree. Giuseppe - the name chosen for it, with all the affectionate familiarity that a first name conveys - is a blown-glass sphere with a diameter of nine centimetres, decorated entirely by hand. Each piece carries the slight, unrepeatable imperfections of the human gesture, that subtle variation in line and colour that makes every piece unique, distinct from all the others. Holding it between your fingers before hanging it is already a small ritual. Giuseppe belongs to Alessi's A collection, the project that the design factory has entrusted over time to illustrators, graphic designers, and visual artists to reinterpret Christmas through a contemporary and ironic language. The signature is that of the duo LPWK together with Marcello Jori - a Bolognese artist and illustrator with an international career, known for a pop-surreal imaginary in which human figures, animals, and symbols coexist in a parallel, disorienting world. His distinctive style transforms the bauble from a simple ornament into a small graphic artwork to hang on the branch. At Stilmobili, we chose Giuseppe because it perfectly embodies that tension between craftsmanship and authorship that distinguishes the best of Alessi's production. It is the ideal gift for those who love receiving objects that tell a story, for those who decorate the tree with the same care they use when choosing a book or a record. A decoration that does not disappear after the holidays, but remains in the memory. Project notes: blown glass, hand decoration, diameter 9 cm, weight 165 g. Alessi A collection, fall/winter season.
