Alessi — Girotondo AKK38 | Screen-printed glass jar

There is something childlike and precious at the same time about Girotondo: the small stylized figures dancing in a circle across the surface of the transparent glass transform a simple airtight jar into an object capable of inhabiting the kitchen with lightness and character. The screen-printed glass body reveals the contents, while the polished steel lid brings that clean, contemporary metallic note that is Alessi's unmistakable stylistic signature. The Girotondo motif was created by the creative duo King-Kong - the collective name used by designers Stefano Giovannoni and Guido Venturini - and over time has become one of the most recognizable graphic elements in the entire Alessi universe. Launched in the 1990s as a decorative pattern on a family of objects destined to revolutionize the way we think about household accessories, the circle of stylized little figures is now an icon of Italian pop design, able to unite irony, childhood memories, and formal rigor in a single graphic gesture. At Stilmobili, we chose this jar because it perfectly embodies that tension - central to the best Italian design - between everyday function and a culture of beauty. It is ideal for those who want to bring not only order and practicality into the kitchen, but also a story, a smile, and a coherent aesthetic point of view. Suitable as a tasteful gift or as an accent in a contemporary kitchen. Project notes: airtight jar in screen-printed glass with a polished stainless steel lid. Capacity 150 cl, diameter 10.5 cm, height 21.6 cm. A collection by Alessi, designer King-Kong. Ideal for dry foods or as a decorative shelf container.
