Alessi — Girotondo AKK35 | Screen-printed glass jar

There is something ancient and, at the same time, thoroughly modern about the act of preserving. The Girotondo AKK35 jar turns it into an aesthetic gesture: the transparent glass, screen-printed with the famous procession of little figures with open arms, tells the story of the world in an immediate and gentle way, while the polished steel lid closes it all with the precision characteristic of great Italian craftsmanship. With a capacity of 50 cl and a diameter of 10.5 cm, it is a well-proportioned object, domestic in the noblest sense of the term - designed to sit on the kitchen shelf like being in a room you love. The Girotondo motif was created by King-Kong, the creative studio founded by Stefano Giovannoni and Guido Venturini, and entered the Alessi catalogue in the early 1990s, almost immediately becoming a pop icon of Italian design. That row of stylized figures - essential, festive, universally recognizable - has crossed decades and surfaces, from cutlery to trays and from key rings to boxes, without ever losing its charge of understated cheerfulness. It belongs to Alessi's A Collection, the extensive repertoire of pieces that have defined the visual identity of the Crusinallo factory. At Stilmobili, we chose it because it conveys exactly what we believe: quality design knows no hierarchy of space. A jar can be a manifesto. It is the ideal gift for those who live consciously, for anyone looking for an object that brings a discreet smile and a genuine story to the table - or the pantry.
