There is something immediately recognizable about Girotondo: that series of stylized human figures holding hands, arranged in a circle as if in an endless dance. In the AKK10 H napkin ring, this visual alphabet is concentrated in an object just 4.2 centimeters in diameter, precisely perforated in mirror-polished 18/10 stainless steel. The version with the heart adds an extra affectionate detail - a small graphic gesture that transforms a functional accessory into an object capable of stirring emotion. Girotondo was created by King-Kong, the pseudonym of the creative duo formed by Isabella Stefanelli and Franco Raggi, who began designing a family of objects for Alessi in 1989 that would become one of the most recognizable icons of contemporary Italian design. The idea was as simple as it was powerful: to transfer the archetypal drawing of a child - the human figure reduced to its purest essence - onto the metal surface and make it the decorative motif of an entire collection. Alessi's A collection has adopted this visual language, applying it to dozens of pieces that coexist naturally with one another and with any table setting style.
