Alessi — Gianni | Di Rosa Design Jar

"Gianni" Jar — A Creature That Lives in the Kitchen

There is something unexpected about the Gianni jar: open the light blue lid and you realize that the design is not on the surface, it is inside. The creatures illustrated by Mattia Di Rosa inhabit the interior space, transforming an everyday gesture - taking sugar, salt, or legumes - into a small moment of discovery. On the kitchen counter, Gianni is discreet and elegant; inside, it holds a world.

Why We Chose It for You

Alessi was founded in 1921 on Lake Orta as an artisan workshop and, for over a century, has transformed everyday objects into pieces of design culture. "Gianni" is the result of a collaboration between the CSA creative team and illustrator Mattia Di Rosa, whose poetic and whimsical imagination overturns the logic of the classic jar: it is not the exterior form that tells the story, but the interior. A choice that perfectly reflects the Alessi philosophy - turning everyday life into a place of surprise.
