Alessi — Firenze 12 W | Castiglioni Wall Clock

A white circle on the wall. Pure, quiet, almost immaterial. The Alessi Firenze is an ABS wall clock that makes essentiality its stylistic signature: the pristine dial opens generously into the space — thirty-six centimetres in diameter — allowing the hands to engage with the light and the surrounding architecture. Here, the quality of the white is not a neutral choice but a formal statement: an object that withdraws from ornament to become a presence. It was designed by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, among the brightest voices in 20th-century Italian design. Their method — shaped by observation of everyday life, cultivated irony, and formal rigour — runs discreetly through this clock. The Castiglioni brothers always believed that a good design should not shout about its beauty: it should simply exist in the world with consistency. The Firenze embodies this philosophy through the precision of a quartz movement and the composure of something with nothing to prove. At Stilmobili, we chose the Firenze because it perfectly represents what we look for in a furnishing accessory: the ability to inhabit a space without occupying it. It is the ideal clock for those who furnish thoughtfully — a minimalist living room, a professional office, a hallway where a signed work can afford to seem simple. It works just as well above a Zanotta bookcase as next to an exposed-concrete panel. Project notes: White ABS material. Quartz movement. Diameter 36 cm. Weight 1.04 kg. Alessi collection — designed by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni. Suitable for indoor environments, residential and contract use.
