Alessi — ES22/5 | Sottsass La Bella Tavola dessert plate

There is something profoundly Mediterranean about the white of this porcelain. The dessert plate from the *La Bella Tavola — My Beautiful China* collection does more than hold food: it frames it, celebrates it, transforms it into a gesture. Its twenty-centimeter diameter is designed with the precision of someone who understands the rituals of the Italian table, while the decoration - minimalist yet never banal - gives the surface a quiet presence, capable of conversing with both the most classic tableware and the most contemporary arrangements. Ettore Sottsass, a legendary figure in 20th-century Italian design, brings to this project the same poetic tension that ran through his entire body of work: the ability to turn everyday form into a place of meaning. Founder of the Memphis group and tireless theorist of material culture, Sottsass viewed the table as a space for connection and accessible beauty. *La Bella Tavola* was born from this vision - a tableware service that reinterprets white porcelain not as neutrality, but as an affirmation. At Stilmobili, we chose this plate because it perfectly embodies what we look for: objects with a story to tell and a quality that can be felt by touch even before it can be seen. It is ideal for those who want to create a table setting with character without sacrificing refinement, for those who love entertaining thoughtfully and see table setting as a creative act, not a formal obligation. *Project notes.* Decorated white porcelain.
