Alessi — ES21/79 | La Bella Tavola by Ettore Sottsass saucer

There is a simplicity that is never banal: one born from a mind capable of seeing beyond form, distilling the everyday gesture down to its purest essence. The ES21/79 saucer from the La Bella Tavola collection is a white porcelain disk with a diameter of fifteen centimeters - an almost perfect measurement, neither too generous nor austere - that holds the cup like an open palm. The surface is smooth, the whiteness absolute, the weight restrained: everything contributes to creating an object that disappears in use and reveals itself through attention. Ettore Sottsass, a central figure in twentieth-century Italian design and founder of the Memphis Group, created this collection with the discretion of someone who understands the value of formal restraint. La Bella Tavola was born from the collaboration between Sottsass and Alessi, with the ambition of redefining the set table as a space of culture and care. Not a formal dinner service, but a collection of objects designed for everyday living with dignity - the same dignity Sottsass pursued throughout his career, between provocation and grace. At Stilmobili, we chose this saucer because it embodies an idea of tableware that reflects our values: one in which quality is not flaunted, but perceived. It is the right object for those who set the table for Sunday breakfast with the same care reserved for an important dinner, for those who believe that white porcelain is never a neutral choice, but always a conscious act of style. Design notes: White porcelain, 15 cm diameter, net weight 180 g. Part of the La Bella Tavola collection for Alessi, designed by Ettore Sottsass. Available as a coordinated set with cups, plates, and accessories from the same line.
