Alessi — Ellipse ABI09S ABI09S LAZ | Set of turquoise steel containers

Due ellipses. A primary, almost archetypal geometry, rendered in steel and coated with a turquoise-colored epoxy resin that captures light like a fine enamel. Alessi's Ellipse set consists of two containers with a shape that is both soft and radical: desk objects that cease to be mere functional accessories and become visual presences, capable of enlivening a surface with the same discretion as a designer detail. The project was created by Abi Alice, a designer whose work revolves around the tension between organic form and constructive rigor. With Ellipse, Alice works with a silhouette that evokes movement - the orbit, the imperfect oval - and translates it into a solid, tactile, immediately recognizable object. The turquoise chosen for this version is not a decorative color in the banal sense of the term: it is a statement of season, mood, and belonging to a Mediterranean and contemporary sensibility. At Stilmobili, we chose Ellipse because it represents exactly the category of objects we love most: those that require no justification. It is designed for those who care for their workspace with the same attention given to the living room; for those who know that a desk accessory can also be a small aesthetic gesture. It belongs to the Alessi collection and is part of a series intended not to be reproduced - a detail that increases its value over time. Project notes: steel with a colored epoxy resin finish, turquoise. Two-piece set. Net weight 584 g. Spring/summer edition, end of series confirmed. Alessi code ABI09S LAZ.
