Alessi — Dry 4180/2 | Castiglioni Table Fork

There is something immediately recognizable about Achille Castiglioni's Dry fork: a formal purity that does not sacrifice personality, a balance between weight and lightness perceived the moment you take it in your hand. The satin-finished handle engages with the polished head in a play of finishes that gives visual depth to the 18/10 stainless steel, the quintessential noble material in the tradition of the Italian table. Nineteen centimeters of carefully studied proportions, where nothing is accidental and nothing is superfluous. Dry was born from the mind of Achille Castiglioni, one of the undisputed masters of 20th-century Italian design, capable like few others of transforming everyday objects into cultural archetypes. His project for Alessi perfectly embodies his philosophy: starting from function to arrive at form, without ever yielding to gratuitous ornamentation. The collection takes its title from an adjective that is already an aesthetic manifesto — dry, rigorous, essential — and precisely describes the character of each individual piece. At Stilmobili, we chose Dry because it represents what we are always looking for: objects that have a deep reason for existing just as they are. It is the ideal cutlery for those who want a thoughtfully set table, able to speak of taste without ostentation. It adapts naturally both to a formal dinner and to a high-quality home lunch, and pairs with equal grace with handcrafted ceramics or fine service porcelain. Project notes: 18/10 stainless steel, mixed polished and satin finish, length 19 cm, weight 55 g. Dishwasher safe. Available as part of the complete Alessi collection of the same name.
