Alessi — Diabolix | Bottle Opener

Alessi Diabolix - The bottle opener born from childhood forms

There is something familiar yet surprising about Diabolix: a shape that seems to have come from a child's drawing, yet works with the precision of an object carefully conceived. Bringing it to the table means opening a bottle and starting a conversation.

Why we chose it for you

Diabolix was created as part of the F.F.F. meta-project, an initiative launched by Alessi in the early 1990s to explore the emotional structure of forms, inspired by the way children and primitive cultures create objects. Designed by CSA and Biagio Cisotti, it has become one of the most recognizable pieces in the Alessi catalog: proof that an everyday object can carry a rich and authentic design story. Since 1921, the workshop founded by Giovanni Alessi on Lake Orta has turned this vision into reality - every piece is the result of an ongoing dialogue between industry, applied art, and research.
