Alessi — Dervisci ITM21 | 18/10 stainless steel tumbler

There is something hypnotic about the Dervisci: a form that rotates around itself, seeming to remain in motion even when it is stationary on the table. The 18/10 stainless steel tumbler presents itself as an object on the boundary between utensil and sculpture - its turned surface reflects the light in shifting ways, transforming every serving into a small visual ritual. Holding it in your hands means coming into contact with a cold, precise material that, strangely, conveys artisanal warmth. The Dervisci belongs to the *Il Tornitore Matto* collection, designed by Michele De Lucchi for Alessi - one of the freest and most experimental chapters in the long history of the company. De Lucchi, an architect and designer among the most influential figures on the contemporary Italian scene and co-founder of the Memphis movement, has here abandoned all functionalist rigidity to explore the lathe as a poetic instrument. The collection was born from a serious game: removing material from the metal to restore rhythm, profile, and personality. The name itself, *Dervisci*, evokes the whirling dance of Sufi mystics - a precise reference to the centrifugal movement that gives rise to the form. At Stilmobili, we chose it because it is exactly the kind of object that distinguishes a cultivated table from one that is simply elegant. It is not content merely to contain: it tells a story. It is ideal for those who create settings where every detail has an intention, and for those who love Italian design when it dares to move beyond its usual boundaries. Project notes: Diameter 10 cm, height 9.8 cm. 18/10 stainless steel. Weight 250 g. Part of the *Il Tornitore Matto* collection, autumn/winter season.
