Alessi — Delight NZ04 NZ04SET1 | Blown glass Christmas ornaments

There is something ancient and precious in the ritual of hanging a glass bauble on the tree. Delight interprets it with contemporary grace: two hand-blown glass spheres, six centimetres in diameter, that capture and reflect the light of the festive season with an almost immaterial lightness. The surface reflects the glimmers of the fairy lights and the warm half-light of domestic interiors, transforming every moment into a snapshot of suspended beauty. Delight stems from the vision of Nika Zupanc, one of the most distinctive Slovenian designers on the European scene, known for a formal language in which aesthetic seduction intertwines with a subtle poetic irony. Alessi entrusted her with reinterpreting an archetypal object - the Christmas bauble - and the result is, as often happens with Zupanc, something that belongs to the realm of fairy tales while speaking with absolute precision to the present. The design is part of Alessi's Palinsesto fall/winter collection, conceived to inhabit the home during the year's more introspective seasons. At Stilmobili, we chose Delight because we believe seasonal decorations deserve the same attention given to permanent furnishings. This set is designed for those who decorate the tree as they would approach an interior design project: with taste, intention, and without giving in to the uniformity of disposable decor. It is the ideal gift for a friend with a discerning eye, or the detail that distinguishes a simply decorated tree from one that has truly been thoughtfully designed. Project notes: Set of two blown-glass pieces. Diameter 6 cm for each sphere. Total weight 150 g. Alessi Palinsesto fall/winter collection. Design by Nika Zupanc.
