Alessi — DC06/3 B | Chipperfield black aluminum moka pot

There is something almost architectural about the way the DC06 rises on the cooktop. The cast aluminum appears in a compact matte black finish, free of superfluous ornamentation, with a profile that calls to mind a tabletop sculpture more than an everyday object. The polyamide handle and knob complete the silhouette with the same formal discipline: no concession to decoration, only form responding to function with rigor and precision. It was designed by David Chipperfield, a world-renowned British architect and winner of the 2023 Pritzker Prize, known for museum and urban projects capable of blending memory and contemporaneity. His foray into product design for Alessi follows the same logic as his buildings: essential geometries, expressive materials, and an elegance that does not shout but asserts itself through reduction. The DC06 Moka does not betray this approach: it is morning coffee transformed into a conscious gesture. At Stilmobili, we chose it because it belongs to that rare category of objects that do not age. It is not a trendy accessory: it is a piece to keep on the stovetop every day and display in the kitchen as one would display an important book on a bookshelf. It is designed for those who love design as an everyday attitude, for those who harmonize the kitchen and dining room with the same aesthetic care, and for those who want to make coffee without visual compromises. Project notes: capacity for 3 cups (15 cl), black lacquered cast aluminum body, heat-resistant black PA handle and knob. Dimensions 16 × 9 × 13.5 cm. Compatible with gas and electric cooktops.
