Alessi — Convivio DC307 | 24 cm Chipperfield steamer basket

There is a quiet quality in the rising steam, in the patient wait for gentle cooking. The Convivio DC307 steamer basket inhabits this suspended time with a restrained, refined presence: satin-finished 18/10 stainless steel, a finish that catches the light without seeking it, responding to the touch with the discreet firmness of one who knows what they are doing. The PVD-coated handles complete the profile with a detail of rare aesthetic coherence - the same material, the same family, no compromise. Convivio was born from the unlikely and happy meeting between David Chipperfield, one of the most influential British architects of our time - the author of museums, libraries, and buildings capable of creating silence around themselves - and Pietro Leemann, a Swiss-Italian chef, pioneer of haute vegetarian cuisine, and owner of Milan's Joia restaurant, the first Michelin-starred vegetarian restaurant in Europe. When the architecture of form meets the philosophy of mindful nourishment, the result is an object that embodies an ethic as well as an aesthetic. At Stilmobili, we chose Convivio because it represents exactly what we are looking for: objects that do not merely function, but tell a story. It is the ideal companion for those who cook with intention, who see the kitchen as a space for thought even before preparation. It is aimed at those who know the difference between a utensil and a design object, and are unwilling to give up either. Project notes: diameter 24 cm, height 10 cm.
