Alessi — Convivio DC200/28 | Satin-finished stainless steel lid

There is a geometry of care in the Convivio lid: a perfect disk of satin-finished 18/10 stainless steel, twenty-eight centimeters in diameter, enclosing the steam and cooking time. The matte surface holds the light without reflecting all of it, with the discretion that belongs to truly well-designed objects. Holding it in your hand - the firm grip, the balanced weight - is already a gesture that anticipates the pleasure of the table. Convivio was born from the unlikely yet successful meeting of David Chipperfield, a world-renowned British architect known for his rigorous aesthetic rooted in the European building tradition, and Pietro Leemann, philosopher-chef at Milan's Joia restaurant, Europe's first Michelin-starred vegetarian restaurant. One conceives spaces, the other nourishment: together they imagined a cookware line in which form responds to function without compromise, where every element is designed to last and be used every day. The result is a collection that brings to the kitchen the same design seriousness that Chipperfield applies to museums and public spaces. At Stilmobili, we chose Convivio because it represents exactly what we look for in every piece we offer: the ability to transform the ordinary into something slower and more mindful. It is the ideal companion for those who see the kitchen as a place for thought as well as practice. For those who want even everyday tools to have a story to tell. Project notes: 18/10 stainless steel, satin finish, diameter 28 cm, height 4.5 cm. Compatible with the Convivio line of pots and pans. Alessi production, fall/winter collection.
