Alessi — Convivio DC105/16 | Chipperfield trilaminated steel saucepan

There is an almost architectural precision to Alessi's Convivio DC105/16: the long-handled saucepan that translates into satin-finished steel the same formal grammar used to design inhabited spaces. The trilaminate - a sandwich of AISI 430, aluminum, and 18/10 stainless steel - is not merely a technical choice but a manifesto of layering, of materials that engage in silent dialogue to deliver even heat and a precise response to the flame. The satin finish diffuses light without seeking it, with the discretion that distinguishes truly well-made objects from those that are merely beautiful. The handle coated in PVD - the same technology used for high-end watchmaking finishes - adds an unexpected tactile note: cool to the touch, secure in the grip, elegant in proportion. Convivio was born from the collaboration between David Chipperfield, one of the most rigorous and respected London architects of his generation, and Pietro Leemann, philosopher-chef of Milan's Joia restaurant, the first Michelin-starred vegetarian restaurant in Europe. An unlikely meeting on paper, necessary in reality: the architecture of the culinary gesture met the architecture of lived space. At Stilmobili, we chose Convivio because it perfectly embodies that boundary we are passionate about: where design stops being decoration and becomes a tool. It is the saucepan for those who cook with intention, for those who consider the table an act of culture. It works on all cooktops, including induction, and is oven-safe: a versatility that never compromises the piece's formal identity. Project notes: diameter 16 cm, capacity 1.8 liters, overall dimensions 35.5 × 16 × 9 cm. Compatible with induction cooktops thanks to the magnetic base. Net weight 1.32 kg.
