Alessi — Conca ITM18 | Turned copper vase with handles

There is something ancient yet surprising about Giulio Iacchetti's La Conca for Alessi: an object that evokes the memory of work vessels - farm basins and kitchen washbasins - and brings them into the contemporary world through the warm sheen of spun copper sheet. The handles, symmetrical and precise, are not merely functional appendages: they are the gesture that defines the form, transforming a container into an aesthetic statement. With its generous dimensions - 47 centimeters wide and almost 24 deep - La Conca occupies space with a serene and authoritative presence. Giulio Iacchetti is one of the most original interpreters of contemporary Italian design, capable of looking at traditional objects with an ironic and affectionate eye at the same time. La Conca was created as part of the *Il Tornitore Matto* collection, an Alessi project that celebrates spinning as a foundational artisan technique - the manual process that transforms raw metal into a living surface, with its shifting reflections and the subtle traces of the production process still visible in the material. We chose it for Stilmobili because it is one of those objects equally at home on an executive's desk, an entryway table, or at the center of an impressive bookcase. Not a vase in the conventional sense, but a furnishing accessory that carries a story, a noble material, and a form that never ceases to draw the eye. Ideal for those seeking pieces with a true design soul, to live with as one lives with an idea. Project notes: Spun copper sheet. Dimensions: 47 × 30 × 23.5 cm. *Il Tornitore Matto* Collection.
