Alessi — Colombina FM15 | Polished stainless steel tray

There is something organic yet rigorous about Alessi's Colombina Collection: a tray that is not content simply to contain, but chooses to inhabit the surface on which it rests. Made of polished 18/10 stainless steel, its 51-centimeter length creates a quiet, authoritative presence, capable of capturing light and reflecting it back multiplied. The mirror finish is not an aesthetic affectation, but a design statement: it transforms every table, sideboard, and console into a stage for the objects it holds. Colombina was born from the collaboration between Doriana and Massimiliano Fuksas, partners in life and in their work, and among the most visionary figures in contemporary international architecture. Their approach to the scale of the object does not betray the consistency of those who habitually work at the scale of the building and the city: every curve of the tray is conceived as an architectural profile, every reflection on its surface as a question of light and space. Alessi recognized in this vision an opportunity for a collection that would move through the seasons with the same naturalness as a work of applied art. At Stilmobili, we chose Colombina because it represents exactly what we look for when selecting a piece to place in a high-quality space: the balance between function and pure beauty. It is the ideal tray for those who set an important table, for those who want to offer guests a visual experience even before a gastronomic one, for those who live mindfully and recognize in everyday objects the gesture of a design culture.
