Alessi — Colombina FM06/3 | Stainless steel table knife

There is something airy about the profile of the Colombina knife: the AISI 420 steel blade extends with an almost sculptural grace, while the handle - recognizable among a thousand - bears the unmistakable mark of a formal exploration that goes far beyond function. Holding it means grasping an object that belongs as much to the table as to the realm of ideas, capable of transforming every meal into a conscious gesture. Colombina was born from the vision of Doriana and Massimiliano Fuksas, partners in life and design, globally renowned architects who, with Alessi, chose to bring their poetics into everyday gestures. The collection - whose name lightly evokes the mask of the Commedia dell'Arte, airborne and ironic - translates the vocabulary of contemporary architecture into a cutlery set in which each piece engages with the others in a coherent and refined visual system. The sinuous profile, the section that varies along the handle, the millimetric attention to proportions: everything tells of a project designed to last over time, both aesthetically and materially. We chose it for Stilmobili because it embodies precisely that boundary where an everyday object becomes a collectible piece. It is designed for those who set the table as they arrange a space, for those who recognize in the details the signature of a design culture. The “end of series” designation makes it even more precious: a piece to complete or preserve before it is no longer available. Project notes: AISI 420 stainless steel, length 21 cm, weight 81 g. Colombina Collection, Alessi. Design: Doriana and Massimiliano Fuksas.
