Alessi — Colombina Fish FM23/42 | 18/10 stainless steel shellfish cracker

There is something ancient and almost ritualistic about the act of opening a shellfish at the table. Alessi's Colombina Fish FM23/42 transforms this moment into an experience of pure formal elegance: an 18/10 stainless steel shellfish cracker that combines the functional solidity of a professional tool with the sculptural grace of an object meant to be displayed. Its elongated silhouette - seventeen centimeters of calibrated leverage - fits naturally in the hand, conveying that sense of precision and control that distinguishes a well-designed utensil from one that is simply useful. The Colombina collection was born from the vision of Doriana and Massimiliano Fuksas, one of the most influential creative duos in contemporary international architecture and design, joined on this project by co-designer Alberto Gozzi. The Fuksases bring to the dining table the same tension between form and function that characterizes their architecture: lines that concede nothing to excess, yet find their own unmistakable sensuality in rigor. Fish is part of a service designed for those who experience convivial moments as an act of care and style. At Stilmobili, we chose the Colombina Fish because it perfectly embodies the kind of object we love: one that does not hide away in a drawer but takes its place on a set table as a centerpiece. It is the ideal tool for those who love entertaining with attention to detail, and for seafood enthusiasts who do not want to give up aesthetics even in the most technical accessories. Project notes: 18/10 stainless steel, dimensions 17 × 4 cm, weight 335 g. Alessi collection, spring/summer program. Code FM23/42.
