Alessi — Cico | Giovannoni Design Egg Cup

Alessi "Cico" - The Egg Cup That Brings a Smile to the Table

There is something disarming about the simplicity of an egg at breakfast, and "Cico" knows it well: with its salt-shaker hat perched on its head, it transforms the most everyday gesture into a moment of pure lightness. Designed by Stefano Giovannoni, it belongs to the figurative and anthropomorphic tradition that has made some Alessi objects instantly recognizable - not just utensils, but little characters that inhabit the table.

Why We Chose It for You

Alessi was founded in 1921 on Lake Orta as an artisan workshop, and since then it has transformed household objects into forms capable of evoking emotion. "Cico" perfectly embodies this vision: the egg cup and salt shaker coexist in a single irresistible silhouette, where function is concealed within character. Stefano Giovannoni created a piece that belongs to the most narrative strand of Alessi's production - ironic, affectionate, and anything but ordinary.
