Alessi — Christmas Bauble | Blown Glass Christmas Ornament

Alessi Christmas Bauble - The Nativity Scene Becomes a Sphere

There is something ancient and intimate about the gesture of hanging a bauble on the tree. With Alessi's Nativity Baubles, that gesture takes on a story: each sphere carries a sacred and popular image, capable of transforming even the simplest corner of the home into a Christmas landscape. The mouth-blown glass Little Angel captures the light and holds onto it, just as Christmas does with memories.

Why we chose it for you

The Nativity Baubles project was created by Marcello Jori with a precise idea: to free the nativity scene from its traditional frame and distribute its characters throughout the home, suspended from chandeliers, bookshelves, candelabras, or garlands. Alessi - an applied arts workshop founded in 1921 on Lake Orta - gives this object the same design care reserved for its most iconic pieces. The glass is mouth-blown, an artisanal technique that makes each piece slightly unique.
