Alessi — La Cupola | Aldo Rossi Design Coffee Maker

La Cupola — The Moka Pot According to Aldo Rossi

There is something ritualistic about morning coffee: the gurgling of the water, the aroma rising, the moment when the day takes shape. Aldo Rossi's La Cupola accompanies this everyday gesture with the dignity of an object designed to last - and to be admired, even when it is sitting unused on the stovetop.

Why We Chose It for You

Aldo Rossi was first and foremost an architect, and it shows: La Cupola is a small piece of tableware architecture, with its hemispherical roof recalling the grand forms of Italy's building tradition. Alessi - founded in 1921 on Lake Orta and always a research laboratory in the applied arts - successfully brought this design to life, transforming it into an icon of contemporary industrial design. Not just any coffee maker, but an object that conveys an idea of functional beauty: one in which form and use coincide without compromise.
