Alessi — Caccia LCD01S24R | 24-piece Caccia Dominioni & Castigli cutlery set

There is something immutable in the formal perfection of the Caccia set: the way a fork rests in the palm of the hand, the measured weight of a spoon gliding into broth, the understated geometry of a knife that never cries out for attention. Twenty-four pieces in 18/10 stainless steel - six tablespoons, six four-tine forks, six knives, six teaspoons - make up a set with the quiet density of things designed to last. The finish is polished, the profile elegantly linear, and the balance between aesthetics and function impeccable. The history of this set is, in fact, the story of an intellectual friendship and an unrepeatable era in Italian design. Luigi Caccia Dominioni, Livio and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni designed it in 1938 - a year when modernity was still taking shape, seeking its own vocabulary between rationalism and craftsmanship. The result was a piece that anticipated decades of research into cutlery as an object of total use, capable of being beautiful even when no one is looking at it. Alessi has kept it in production as a living testament to that era, including it in its Palinsesto as a timeless classic. At Stilmobili, we chose it because we believe that setting a table is a cultural act before it is an aesthetic one. The Caccia set is ideal for those who want to bring a piece of Italian design history into their home without giving in to nostalgia: it works with minimalist white porcelain as well as with handcrafted ceramics, adapting to a formal dinner and Sunday lunch with equal ease.
