Alessi — Caccia 90022/1 A | 925‰ silver table spoon

There is an almost ascetic purity in the line of the Caccia spoon: the bowl that discreetly holds the liquid, the handle that descends toward the hand with disarming naturalness. Made to order in 925 sterling silver, it is an object belonging to the rare category of things made to outlast the people who use them. The weight in the hand, the understated sheen of the precious metal, the carefully considered proportions within its twenty-centimeter length - everything contributes to creating a tactile and visual experience that ordinary materials simply cannot offer. The Caccia service bears the name of three of its noble fathers: Luigi Caccia Dominioni and brothers Livio and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni. Three leading figures of twentieth-century Milanese rationalism who, in the 1930s - when Italian design was still seeking its identity between artisanal tradition and European modernity - jointly designed this cutlery service. A project that Alessi incorporated into the Officina Alessi catalog, the line dedicated to pieces of the highest craftsmanship, at the boundary between design and goldsmithing. An act of cultural preservation even before it was a commercial one. We chose it for Stilmobili because it perfectly embodies what we seek: objects that carry an authentic history and know how to inhabit a table as a work of art knows how to inhabit a wall. It is the ideal gift for those who love early Italian design, for those who set a table with the same care with which they choose a work of art, and for those who want to pass on something enduring. Project notes: 925 sterling silver, available to order. Length 20 cm. Officina Alessi collection. Part of a series nearing the end of production - its limited availability further increases its collectible value.
