Alessi — Bombé CA14/8 | Polished stainless steel sugar bowl

There is a geometry of desire that belongs only to truly successful objects: that curve the hand recognizes before the eye has even finished looking. Alessi's Bombé sugar bowl belongs to this rare family. Its bulbous body in polished 18/10 stainless steel captures the light and returns it softly, almost liquidly, while the black Bakelite handles and knob create a sober, precise contrast — the distinctive mark of an aesthetic that needs no additions. With a capacity of forty-two centiliters and proportions studied down to the millimeter, this sugar bowl does not merely catch the eye on the table; it speaks to the senses. Bombé was created by Carlo Alessi, son of founder Giovanni, and carries with it the distinctive weight of a deep family history. Designed in the 1940s — a time when the Omegna factory was defining its formal vocabulary — the Bombé collection is among the earliest expressions of what would become the Alessi method: industrial quality placed at the service of everyday beauty. Today it belongs to the Officina Alessi constellation, the brand that safeguards the most authentic and distinctive core of the production, far from passing fashions and seasons. At Stilmobili, we chose Bombé because it is one of those objects that never ages: it moves from home to home, passes from hand to hand, ends up on the most diverse tables, and always remains recognizable. It is ideal for those who want to create a table setting with character, for those who appreciate design as an everyday practice rather than a display, and for those looking for a gift of refined substance, capable of lasting beyond the occasion. Design notes: mirror-polished 18/10 stainless steel, handles and knob in thermosetting Bakelite. Dimensions 16 × 16.5 × 10 cm, capacity 42 cl. Officina Alessi Collection. Hand washing recommended to preserve the surface's shine.
