Alessi Barknest - The Nest Born from Bark

There is something organic about the way Barknest welcomes what it holds: the rounded walls curve inward like a nest, gently protecting fruit, bread, or small objects. The perforated pattern running across the surface recalls the knots in wood, while the concave shape evokes the structure of a trunk - a tabletop piece that tells the story of nature through steel.

Why we chose it for you

Barknest was created by Boucquillon & Maaoui, designers whose Bark collection is directly inspired by Casa Bouquillon in Tuscany - a lived-in, experimental space immersed in the landscape. It is an Alessi creation, founded in 1921 and long a research laboratory for the applied arts: every object bearing this name is the result of a dialogue between design culture and manufacturing quality. Barknest brings all of this to the table, with discretion and character.
