Alessi — Bark for Christmas BM06/30 | Steel Christmas decoration

There is something deeply familiar about the bark of a tree: its grooves, its rough texture, the tactile memory of a winter forest. Bark for Christmas translates this sensation into AISI 430 stainless steel, transforming a fragment of nature into a household object capable of evoking the atmosphere of Christmas with understated and unexpected elegance. The porcelain magnets complete the composition with a chromatic lightness that contrasts with the metallic coldness of the support, creating a refined and poetic dialogue between materials. The design was born from the collaboration between Boucquillon & Maaoui, a creative duo that has succeeded in looking at the natural world through a designer's eyes: not to imitate it, but to distill its essence. The piece belongs to Alessi's seasonal collection for the fall/winter lineup, that range of festive objects in which the Crusinallo factory has expressed for decades its ability to turn the Christmas ritual into an act of conscious style, far removed from the rhetoric of ornament for ornament's sake. We chose it for Stilmobili because it speaks to those who refuse to compromise on attention to detail, even in seasonal decorations. It is the right object for those who furnish their homes consistently all year round and have no intention of interrupting that aesthetic dialogue even in December. Perfect in an entryway, on a sideboard, or as a gift for a design enthusiast who already has everything — except this. Project notes: dimensions 25 × 9 × 30 cm, AISI 430 stainless steel with porcelain magnetic elements. Alessi code BM06/30. Net weight 748 g. Design: Boucquillon & Maaoui for Alessi.
