Alessi — Augh! | Design Trivet by D'Urbin

Alessi Augh! - The Crown That Protects Your Table

There is something unexpected about the act of setting down a pot: with Augh!, it becomes a small visual ritual. Inspired by the silhouette of an Indian crown, this expandable trivet brings an ironic yet refined touch to the kitchen, embodying that same tension between function and beauty that has distinguished Alessi in the world of applied design for decades.

Why we chose it for you

Alessi was founded in 1921 on Lake Orta as an artisan workshop, and still defines itself today as a place for research in the applied arts. Augh! was designed by Donato D'Urbino and Paolo Lomazzi, longstanding figures in that world, and perfectly embodies this vision: an everyday object that brings together a pop spirit, elegant design, and a memorable form. It is not merely an accessory - it is a detail that reflects who you are even when you are not at the table.
