Alessi — Arran 90068 PGR | Iridescent rectangular tray by Enzo Mari

There is something changeable about Arran, something that shifts with the light and the gaze of the person observing it. A rectangular steel tray coated with resin in Purplegreen tones, its surface plays with reflections that oscillate between deep green and intense purple, like certain iridescent fabrics or the wings of an insect seen against the light. Its dimensions - 48 by 25 centimetres, with an edge just four centimetres high - make it a generous object, capable of containing without overwhelming, of organising without sacrificing grace. Enzo Mari was one of the great intellectuals of Italian design: a designer, theorist, and advocate of form as a tool for critical thought. With Alessi, he shared a vision in which the domestic object is never merely a utensil, but a bearer of aesthetic and cultural meaning. Arran belongs to that tradition in which the tray ceases to be a background and becomes the protagonist of the table, the work surface, and the domestic composition. We at Stilmobili chose it for those looking for an object to place with intention: on the dining table as a centerpiece, on the sideboard as a holder for small precious objects, or simply as a surface that draws the eye and invites you to linger. It is ideal for those who love design that tells a story, ages well in their home, and becomes part of their visual memory. Project notes: steel with an iridescent-effect resin coating, in Purplegreen. Dimensions 48 × 25 × 4 cm. Weight 1.49 kg. Alessi collection, spring/summer lineup.
