Alessi — Anna G. 01 B | Corkscrew in resin and chrome-plated zamak

There is something unmistakably human about Anna G.: the flared skirt, the arms raised with mechanical grace, the unmistakable profile of a welcoming woman. Made of black thermoplastic resin and chrome-plated zamak, this twenty-four-centimeter-tall figure is not simply a corkscrew - it is a presence. An object that inhabits the table, sideboard, or kitchen with the same ease with which it would inhabit a contemporary art gallery. Alessandro Mendini designed it in 1994 for Alessi, and Anna G. quickly became one of the most iconic and recognizable objects in the history of twentieth-century Italian design. The name is an affectionate tribute to Anna Gili, a designer and friend of Mendini. Part of the *A di Alessi* collection - conceived to bring great design into everyday life without sacrificing irony, poetry, or playfulness - Anna G. perfectly embodies Mendini's philosophy: design as an act of love toward ordinary things, capable of transforming them into extraordinary ones. At Stilmobili, we chose Anna G. because she perfectly represents what we believe in: beauty should not be reserved for objects to be admired, but should inhabit the gestures of everyday life. It is the perfect gift for those who love design with irony and culture, for those looking for a collectible piece that never loses its function, and for those who want even opening a bottle to become a memorable moment.
