AM01 P | Mendini Design Corkscrew

Alessi "Anna G." - The Corkscrew That Became an Icon

There is something disarming about Anna G.'s smile: she opens bottles and, at the same time, opens conversations. For thirty years, this corkscrew has graced tables and kitchens with the same ironic charm as an object that never takes itself too seriously, yet never stops surprising. Holding it is already a pleasurable gesture, even before using it.

Why we chose it for you

Designed by Alessandro Mendini in 1994, Anna G. began as an ironic tribute to a real woman and gradually became one of the most recognizable figures in contemporary Italian design. Mendini - a designer who moved with rare elegance between art, craftsmanship, and industry - gave Alessi a pop object in the highest sense of the term: one capable of making people smile without compromising on quality. A best seller since its first production, Anna G. has inspired an entire family of table accessories over time, becoming a reference point in the catalog of one of the world's most important applied design workshops, founded in 1921 on Lake Orta.

Features

Material: thermoplastic resin and chrome-plated zamak, lightweight and durable

Dimensions: diameter 7 cm, height 24.5 cm

Color: pink

Designer: Alessandro Mendini, 1994

Production: Alessi, Italy

Ideal for

A gift that surprises the recipient and remains on display even when it is not needed - on a shelf, on the kitchen counter, among the objects chosen for pleasure and not just for function.
