Alessi — Girotondo | Stainless Steel Tray

Girotondo Alessi Round Tray - The Little Figures Dancing Around the Table

There is something immediately cheerful about bringing the Girotondo tray to the table: those shaped little figures chasing one another along the steel rim tell a story before the food even arrives. An object that makes everyone who sees it smile and that, when placed on the table, becomes the quiet protagonist of every gathering.

Why we chose it for you

Girotondo is one of the most recognizable designs in Alessi's history - the Italian applied arts workshop founded in 1921 on Lake Orta, which has always been able to transform everyday objects into pieces of material culture. This tray was created by Stefano Giovannoni and Guido Venturini, the creative duo known as King-Kong, who chose a deliberately minimalist form to focus entirely on the decoration: the perforated rim with its little figure silhouettes has become an icon of contemporary design over time, recognizable at every latitude.

Ideal for

A gift that needs no introduction: Girotondo is recognizable even to those who do not collect design, which is why it works perfectly as a present for housewarmings, weddings, or milestone birthdays. At home, it naturally belongs on the dining table during meals with guests, or as a decorative centerpiece in the colored versions. For Alessi enthusiasts, it pairs perfectly with the other pieces in the Girotondo collection.
