Alessi — A09 W | Michael Graves kitchen timer in white

There is something deeply reassuring about turning a mechanical dial and surrendering to the ticking of time. Alessi's Kitchen Timer A09 W transforms this everyday gesture into a small domestic ritual. Made of white thermoplastic resin, its compact, round body rests on the worktop with the naturalness of an object that seems always to have been there - necessary, clean, and quietly present. White is not the absence of color, but a precise choice: the same formal purity as a well-designed kitchen. Michael Graves, the American architect and designer who was one of the leading figures of international postmodernism, designed some of the most iconic objects in Alessi's A Collection - a line created with the ambition of making great industrial design accessible to everyone without sacrificing authorial identity. Graves knew how to treat form with cultivated irony and affection for use: every curve and every proportion conveys a thought about the human body and its gestures, not just about the aesthetics of the surface. At Stilmobili, we chose this kitchen timer because it perfectly embodies what we look for in kitchen accessories: objects that do more than simply function, but inhabit a space with character. It is ideal for those who see the kitchen as a place for design, not just production - for those who love cooking methodically and doing so surrounded by beautiful things. A reliably tasteful gift, capable of surprising even those who believe they already have everything. Design notes: manually wound mechanical movement, diameter 10.5 cm, height 9 cm. Weight 240 g. Alessi A Collection. White thermoplastic resin, matte finish. Manufactured by Alessi, Italy.
