Alessi — 90111 | La Cintura di Orione replacement wick

There is a certain poetry in replacing a small part of a beloved object. The wick for the La Cintura di Orione collection - code 90111 in Alessi's nomenclature - is a small, almost invisible component, yet indispensable: the quiet detail that allows a great design to continue living, functioning, and remaining on the table year after year. La Cintura di Orione is one of the most ambitious projects in Alessi's history: a series of pots and kitchen accessories created in collaboration with five of the world's greatest chefs - Gualtiero Marchesi, Alain Chapel, Pierre Troisgros, Michel Guérard, and Raymond Blanc - coordinated by Richard Sapper's design vision. Work that began in the 1980s and redefined the boundary between professional tool and domestic design object, bringing the culture of auteur cuisine directly into the home kitchen. At Stilmobili, we have chosen to make this replacement part available as well because we believe that authentic design does not end with the purchase: it is nourished by care, maintenance, and a lasting relationship with objects. Anyone who owns a piece from La Cintura di Orione knows the value of what they hold in their hands. Offering the possibility of extending its useful life is, for us, an act of respect for that same design culture.
