Alessi — La Caffettiera | Chipperfield Design Moka Pot

Alessi DC06/3 - The moka pot reimagined by David Chipperfield

There is a ritual that is repeated every morning, made of water, coffee, and heat. Alessi's DC06/3 coffee maker stems from deep reflection on that ritual: David Chipperfield takes the most familiar form on the Italian table and reinterprets it with an architect's precision, creating an object that is instantly recognizable yet unlike anything seen before.

Why we chose it for you

Alessi has existed since 1921 on Lake Orta and for over a century has collaborated with the world's greatest designers to transform everyday objects into small works of applied design. The DC06/3 is the result of this vision: eleven facets that redraw the profile of the traditional moka pot, a flat lid on which to warm cups, and a knob positioned to open the lid with one hand. Function and form explaining each other, without compromise.

Features

• Material: Cast aluminum body, thermoplastic resin (polyamide) handle and knob, gray color
• Dimensions: Diameter 9 cm, height 13.5 cm
• Capacity: 3 cups (also available in 1- and 6-cup versions)
• Designer: David Chipperfield

Ideal for

For those who do not want to give up the coffee ritual, even in the details, the DC06/3 is a stylish choice that makes its presence felt every morning on the stovetop. It is also a substantial gift for design lovers, capable of standing out in a carefully curated kitchen without ever seeming out of place.
