This double-walled 18\/10 stainless steel ice bucket, with matching ice tongs and a thermoplastic resin handle, is an object that works quietly - keeping things cold, accompanying the drink ritual, and remaining beautiful on the table even when not in use. The double wall is not merely technical: it is a design choice that gives the piece an almost sculptural solidity, a clean, resolved profile that asserts itself without overpowering.\nGiulio Iacchetti is one of the most capable Italian designers at finding the hidden character in everyday things. With Alessi, he has built a dialogue through objects that do not shout but endure - pieces that enter domestic life naturally and remain there for years. Alessi's L 871 ice bucket is one of those pieces that inhabit time without belonging to it: mirror-polished 18\/10 stainless steel, an essential cylindrical profile, a presence on the bar counter or dining table that speaks the sober, confident language of great Italian design. The reflective surface multiplies the light, visually cools the surroundings, and transforms an everyday gesture - serving ice - into a small domestic ritual of elegance.\nThe design bears the signatures of Luigi Massoni and Carlo Mazzeri, two names associated with the foundational era of Italian industrial design. Their collaboration with Alessi dates back to the 1960s, a period when the Crusinallo manufacturer was redefining the boundary between an object of use and an object of culture. L 871 is a child of that era: a clear formal response to a precise function, without superfluous embellishments and with no concession to decoration for its own sake.\n\nAt Stilmobili, we chose this ice bucket because it embodies exactly what we look for when selecting a piece for our collection: not only manufacturing quality - beyond question in Alessi's polished 18\/10 steel - but also depth of meaning.
